2023 Toyota GR Corolla Core AWD | Black
Three cylinders. 300 horsepower. A 6-speed manual. This Black 2023 GR Corolla Core takes the familiar Corolla name and gives it a completely different personality. The turbocharged 1.6L engine and AWD make every on-ramp a little more interesting.
It still has the practical shape of a hatchback, so you can take it to work, run errands, and carry your gear. But the manual transmission makes sure even a quick trip across Logan feels like the long way home might be a good idea. It is rated at 21 city and 28 highway MPG.
If you want a car that makes you volunteer to drive, come see this GR Corolla at Young Toyota in Logan.

Loads of fun to drive, sounds great

by Bostonian on 6/29/2026 4:57:19 PM

Had mine for a few years now and I still love to drive it, boost comes on like an old school turbo car. I see lots of complaints on the price, I doubt anyone has really shopped around. For the 42k I paid i could only get an elantra N or wrx for that money and this car looks so much better. Honda wants 60's for type r's right now, same with golf R. 3 cylinder is high strung so don't expect high power under 3500 rpm, it wants to sing so let it.…

Best hot hatch in 10 years

by Steve on 12/1/2025 9:29:16 AM

I was carefully deciding between 3 cars. A civic type R a VW golf R or the GR corolla, I won me over with its AWD and the 6 speed manual, and styling. The other cars didn't offer all three of those things. While the Corolla has the worst interior of the bunch, that's not what Toyota was trying to do. Easy decision for me…
